Richard Spencer:

“I guess I just respect and admire the church more when it’s in a bold, aggressive, “pagan” mood, and less when its leaders demand universal tolerance and cry victimization.”

  1. It’s nice to see TAKI and FPR coming together! Perhaps our editorial leadership might invite a Gottfried or a Spencer to do a ‘guest’ blog here?

  2. I suppose you would like an aggressive church if you are certain you would never be the object of that aggression.

The many people who have been the victims of the aggression of churches and church-people over the years are grateful for when the church remembers tolerance. Humility is, after all, a virtue for a reason.

  3. What I would not give to see Darwin granted an opportunity to comment upon the reaching of the apogee of the species and thereby provide a little commentary on what to expect from Devolution as we slide down the curve into a uniquely human apedom. Watch 10 minutes of chimpanzee threat display and you will know all you need to know about the United States Congress. Add to this a a few minutes of chimp grooming behavior and you will then know all you need to know about the Congress AND the Executive. Then add a protracted melee and you will find the Judiciary ably painted.

This entire discussion unchoked a shotgun and is firing at skeet targets launched up anterior alleys. This perhaps, shall shed some light. Darwins patient and comprehensive work does not deserve the caricaturing it is getting nor does organized religion deserve the nattering of Dawkins who should put his scientific abilities to better use and leave mystery to those far better equipped to handle it.

As to paganism, being heir to one Marcus Aurelius Sabinus , the pagan on the “Rotating Crypt Cover ” in that wonderful church south of the Coliseum in Rome….said crypt cover purloined by an early Christian and then incised with his own name, well….a little Paganism might improve manners around here because we are beginning to approach behavior that should grant full rights to the Chimpanzee, authorizing said interest group to enter into a class action suit for defamation by we grand humans.
