I think there might be a good “coffee table book” in going around the country and photographing the clever sayings on church marquees. One might be able to finance a long vacation in this way, and also expound a bit on theology. Perhaps a nice title for such a book is “The Messiah on the Marquee”.

“Christ is coming, Look Busy.” Hmmm. Faith vs. Works?

Oh I don’t know buster but I think my smugometer detects a spike here. You should be more charitable here Peters, its a lot of work maintaining a sprightly tag line a week on these signs. Being a pitch man for the day of rest is verily burdensome.

The best one I ever saw was a billboard along I-95 near Bridgeport that declared
“Christ is Coming, Look Busy”.
