Susan McWilliams teaches in the politics department at Pomona College, where she received the Wig Distinguished Professor Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2009. She is the author of Traveling Back: Political Theory in an Age of Globalization (Oxford University Press, forthcoming), and she is working on a volume, co-edited with John Seery, titled The Best Kind of College: An Insider’s Guide to America’s Small Liberal Arts Colleges (State University of New York Press, forthcoming). She is the co-editor, with Patrick Deneen, of Wilson Carey McWilliams’ The Democratic Soul (University Press of Kentucky, 2011) and Redeeming Democracy in America (University Press of Kansas, 2011). McWilliams received her BA in Russian and political science from Amherst College and her MA and PhD in politics from Princeton University. She lives in Claremont, California.
