Adam K. Webb grew up in England, Spain, and the United States. After graduating from Harvard, he received a PhD in Politics from Princeton in 2002. He has been a Visiting Scholar at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and taught at Harvard from 2004 to 2008. Presently he is Resident Associate Professor of Political Science at the Johns Hopkins Nanjing Centre in China.

He is the author of Beyond the Global Culture War (2006), and most recently of A Path of Our Own: An Andean Village and Tomorrow´s Economy of Values (2009). His interests range broadly across world politics and social thought, with a particular focus on bringing traditionalists from different parts of the world into more fruitful dialogue and collaboration with one another.
