Support FPR

Have you enjoyed what you’ve read here? We are serious about building a Front Porch Republic—but we can’t do it without your help. Please consider supporting our work by making an online tax-deductible donation today. Since March of 2009, FPR has published hundreds of pieces on this website, exploring and advancing decentralist and localist ideas to an unprecedented extent, hosting lectures and conferences, and building a unique coalition of writers and thinkers from “left” and “right” to think together about a more humane American future. We’ve even managed quite literally to alter the terms of political and cultural debate: we unwittingly inserted the noun “porcher” into the blogospheric lexicon. From the New Republic to the New York Times, we’ve been praised for our thoughtfulness—and just as many others (maybe more!) have condemned our radicalism. FPR isn’t an academic exercise. We want to bring together thoughtful men and women across this great land to promote human-scale institutions and the rebirth of community. We want to help them resist the dehumanization that seems to threaten us from every quarter. Through this website, our books, a semi-annual print journal, an annual conference, and other ventures, we will seek to amplify our voice even as we remain focused on our mission. We can’t do any of this without your help. Will you invest in our mission by supporting us today?

Giving is safe and easy. And it’s entirely tax-deductible: Front Porch Republic, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) educational organization. Your donation will be used immediately to help us improve our site, recruit writers, and compensate (just a little) our hard-working technological and editorial assistants. It will also help us sponsor speakers and conferences across the country. Most importantly, your support of FPR is an investment in our vision.

Whether you give or not, thank you for your continued patronage of FPR. And do let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
