Brian Volck

Brian Volck is a pediatrician living with his family in Cincinnati.  Nothing surprised him more than returning to the city of his birth after seventeen years elsewhere.  He co-authored Reclaiming the Body: Christians and the Faithful Use of Modern Medicine (Brazos Press, 2006) with Joel Shuman and is working on a new book about the Navajo Nation, the US government, and the intersection of health, disease and history.  His essay on the challenges of getting medical students to appreciate Wendell Berry will appear later this year in Wendell Berry and Religion: Heaven’s Earthly Life, part of the Culture of the Land series from University of Kentucky Press.
