Robert Miner

Robert Miner teaches philosophy at Providence College. A native of Texas, he has previously taught at Baylor University, Boston College and Xavier University. He is the author of six books, including Thomas Aquinas on the Passions, Nietzsche’s Gay Science: A Critical Introduction and Guide, Nietzsche and Montaigne and Vico, Genealogist of Modernity. He is editor and translator of Thomas Aquinas: Questions on the Passions, Thomas Aquinas: Questions on Love and Charity (Yale University Press, 2016) and co-translator (with Jason Taylor) of Giambattista Vico’s New Science. Outside the university, his favorite activities include traveling, cooking, collecting records and playing tennis.
