Tyler Justin Smothers was born and raised in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. He and his wife live in Oklahoma City, where he teaches humanities at The Academy of Classical Christian Studies. His poems have been published in Ekstasis, Belle Point Press, and his hometown newspaper, The Shawnee News-Star.
