Civility and its Discontents

Our 2024 conference will be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 4 and 5. Ross Douthat, a New York Times opinion columnist and the author of several books, will be joining us to give the keynote address, and our theme will be Civility and its Discontents. Other speakers include Nathan Beacom, Elizabeth Corey, Kate Dalton, Bill Kauffman, and Micah Watson. We’ll be posting the full schedule in the coming weeks, but you can register now.

Registration

Registration is now open! Thanks to Plough, the first 20 students may register for free.

Location

On Friday evening, we’ll gather at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in downtown Grand Rapids for a conversation between Ross Douthat and Jeff Polet.

On Saturday, we’ll gather at the Prince Conference Center at Calvin University.
