I had previously thought that Ground Hog Day was strictly a holiday for the residents of the virtuous commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Turns out that the day is celebrated far and wide by localists of all kinds, even Canadians. But as this video minus the commercial shows, special honor still goes to Pennsylvania (how about that image of draft horses, no less!).
It may be February 3rd, but thank the Dear Lord it is the end of the work week (for those of us not using horses or tractors) and go out and celebrate today a little critter who doesn’t threaten the livelihood of people who blog. For Fro Po’s in Philadelphia, by the way it is the perfect alternative to the debauchery we know as Wing Bowl.
